The Dahlberg Diver is designed to be stripped in such a way that the fly dives down when stripped and floats towards the surface when not. It pushes lots of water ahead of it and makes a noise as it does so attracting predatory fish like Barramundi and bass etc. I have used this fly with great success catching some great barramundi in Arnham Land and saratoga on Corroboree Lagoon, Northern territory. The fly is tied on stainless hooks and has a weed guard tied into it so it can be stripped amongst the lily pads. Bang, hang on... Ping..bugger!
